The Broadford Mill is seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner/Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Broadford, Victoria. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. As a valued member of our Trades & Services team, you will play a key part in supporting our broader business objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on a range of production equipment and machinery
* Efficiently repair and overhaul faulty or malfunctioning equipment to minimise downtime
* Collaborate with the production team to optimise machine performance and identify areas for improvement
* Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and spare parts usage
* Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following all relevant health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Maintenance Fitter
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance or mechanical role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills as well as diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex equipment issues
* Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
* Working knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and techniques
* Effective communication skills to liaise with production and operations teams
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
* Willing to do a Police check
