About the role
Leisure Services Officers work across several key areas, including:
* Aquatics: Swim Teaching, Lifeguarding, and maintaining a safe pool environment.
* Fitness & Coaching: Coaching, refereeing, providing gym instruction, and engaging with members on the gym floor.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver outstanding customer service across various roles and activities.
* Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation in all areas of the centre.
* Engage with visitors to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, providing support across multiple areas as needed.
About you
Successful candidates will have:
* A customer-focused attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications for that area (e.g. Working with Children's Check, First Aid, Pool Lifeguard, Swim Teacher, Certificate III/IV in Fitness).
* A commitment to upholding our values: Respect, Safety, Innovation, and a Customer-Centric Approach .
* Candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).

Work Flexibility
Leisure Services Officers work across a range of City of Greater Geelong Swim Sport & Leisure facilities, including:
* Bellarine Aquatic & Sports Centre
* Kardinia Aquatic Centre
* Splashdown
* Norlane Aquatic Recreation Centre
* Leisuretime Sports Precinct
Flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, are essential to meet the needs of our community.
