Brief Description
The Team Member reports to the Store Manager. This role is classified as Level 1 in the GRA.
In the absence of the Store Manager, the Team Member reports to the Long Life and/or Fresh Food Manager.
Objectives
Maximise sales by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring high standards across all areas.
Support and motivate the store team by executing routines and processes to a high standard.
Follow directions to maintain all store areas to the highest standard.
Be a constructive team member within the store.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Effectively and accurately carry out store routines and processes.
Follow all Schedule/Routine Cards.
Assist with the induction and training of new employees and the ongoing development of existing staff.
Report incidents, damages, operational issues, or suggestions to the Store Manager.
Minimise stock losses caused by damages and theft.
Support the Store Team in maintaining store standards.
Communicate essential information to Department Champions/Duty Managers.
Ensure accurate stocktakes, stock adjustments, and proper receipt and invoicing of goods.
Maintain all equipment in working order and ensure proper use and maintenance.
Report pest issues to the Store Manager.
Follow all policies and procedures, including WH&S, Employee Handbook, Product Recall, Food Safety, Due Diligence, and Payment Handling.
Adhere to all legislative and internal requirements, maintaining proper records and training staff accordingly.
Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
