Job Overview
We are seeking a professional social worker to manage a team of professionals who support individuals and families within the defence sector.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality social work services face-to-face to members and their families who require your support.
* Carry out various welfare and risk assessments with meticulous attention to detail.
* Create comprehensive reports that demonstrate exceptional analytical skills.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure Defence members and their families' needs are consistently met.
* Effectively manage a diverse caseload to ensure timely completion of reports in line with defence policies, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Social Work with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks.
* Able to thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment where working independently is as important as working in a team.
* You will receive extensive guidance from an experienced management team and have opportunities for skill development in this role.
* Ideally possess at least 2 years' postgraduate experience in a social work-related position with a proven track record of crisis intervention and risk assessment.
* Possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) and demonstrated expertise in report writing.
* Available for either part-time or full-time hours with flexibility to accommodate occasional travel requirements.
* Possess an Australian Driver's license with a clean driving history.
* You must be an Australian Citizen with a valid passport.

* A number of probity checks are required including holding a current Working With Children check and undertaking National police checks and obtaining a Baseline Security Clearance.
