About Our IT Support Role
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the prison and its staff in technology, hardware, and applications.
The IT Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance to staff and inmates, as well as implementing projects at Western Plains. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders within the Prison's Operations Team and beyond.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading a small team of IT officers
* Providing technical advice and assistance to Western Plains staff
* Assisting in developing and managing local IT systems
* Managing the Offender Services Network (OSN) administration, including infrastructure upgrades, user requirements, and publishing information on OSN
* Implementing upgrades and performing ongoing maintenance of the OSN
* Conducting regular audits of inmates' computers and other IT resources
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in leading teams and providing technical support
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
* Familiarity with IT systems and software
