Reliability Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to support fixed asset performance at a major mining operation near Mount Isa. This is an office-based, site-accessible role with initial onboarding on a 4/3 roster, transitioning to 8/6 after familiarisation.
About the Role
This position involves developing and maintaining fixed asset maintenance strategies, performing failure analysis and tracking cost drivers, leading RCA and defect elimination projects where required, optimising PM intervals and identifying gaps in existing strategies, engaging with maintenance, planning, and operations to align priorities, and contributing to reporting, strategy documentation, and improvement roadmaps.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain fixed asset maintenance strategies.
* Perform failure analysis and track cost drivers.
* Lead RCA and defect elimination projects where required.
* Optimise PM intervals and identify gaps in existing strategies.
* Engage with maintenance, planning, and operations to align priorities.
* Contribute to reporting, strategy documentation, and improvement roadmaps.
Requirements
* Background in reliability or asset management within heavy industry.
* Strong understanding of failure mode analysis and cost-based review.
* Confident with strategy development for fixed assets.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
