Job Title: Strategic Project Director
The role of Strategic Project Director involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of capital works projects across Ku-ring-gai. This includes leading and delivering projects throughout all stages, from initiation to completion.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing contractors and consultants, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and legislation.
* Deliver capital works projects including roads, footpaths, drainage, parks, sports facilities, buildings, and Environmental Levy works
* Prepare and manage project briefs, design specifications, tender documents, budgets, and project plans
* Oversee contractor and consultant selection, induction, supervision, and performance
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, progress updates, variations, and handover records
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
* Construction White Card and Class C Driver's Licence
* Minimum 7 years' senior project management experience, preferably in local government, with a strong track record delivering multidisciplinary capital works projects
Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, developing strategic plans, and driving project execution. The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects.
