Automotive Mechanic LV/HV/Plant (GSE Mechanic) TCR has a brand-new, exciting opportunity available in our Sydney Workshop: Automotive Mechanic! As an Automotive Mechanic, you’ll use your technical expertise to carry out repairs, preventive maintenance and diagnostics on a wide range of specialised GSE equipment. You’ll work closely with a skilled workshop team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations that keep the airport moving. A snapshot of what you will be doing here: Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. Report daily to the Shift Supervisor however will ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager. Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting as well as repair, and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. Promote a safety-first approach. Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions. Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for you to bring a wide collection of knowledge & skills to the role. Work with multiple unique GSE specialised equipment Who we're looking for : Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification. Have your own tools. Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded. Hold a current and valid Driver's License. A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures. Experience working within procedural guidelines. Good communication skills and proactiveness.
