We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team, who will be responsible for performing all facets of payroll across the business.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Process the weekly payroll
- Interpret & advise on conditions of employment according to the applicable Industrial Instruments and company policies and procedures
- Liaise with Human Resources for all personnel matters relating to the payroll function
- Maintain employee leave entitlements
- Assist in preparation of annual reconciliations (Payroll Tax, Workers Comp. Single Touch Payroll)
- Prepare monthly reports and payments; including payroll tax, superannuation, other deductions, Lost Time analysis, Workers Compensation Claims
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of all personal documents, including scanning of documents as required
- Liaise with external entities such as the ATO, Superannuation Funds, Child Support Agency, U-Plus, ACIRT, Workers Compensation insurer etc as required
- Administer any claims for the Group Income Protection policy
- Assisting in the coordination and maintenance of workers compensation claims, liaising with the external service provider and insurer as required
- Perform ad hoc duties as required
If you have previous experience in a similar role and meet the following criteria, we want to hear from you.
**To be successful you must have**:
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Over 3 years' experience in a similar payroll related role
- Knowledge of accounting and payroll principles
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight time frames
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Proficient in use of MS Office packages
- Demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills
