An opportunity has become available for an experienced Outbound Managerto join our highly motivated PM Operations team based in Underwood.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all Outbound supervisory teams with regards to their performance against customer service requirements and their compliance with all relevant business procedures – including safety, cost management, and all legal requirements. This role is required to undertake effective stakeholder management, with Customer Service, Sales, Senior Leaders and Operations to ensure the smooth running of the Company every day.
Duties
* Monitor the performance of all Express Outbound Branch activities - PUD fleet, Outbound freight and address any issues and escalate where relevant
* Lead and manage all processes to ensure compliance with operational, administrative policies and procedures, WHS regulations, DG transportation regulations and any other relevant governmental regulations.
* Meet the service and budget requirements and proactively seek ways to eliminate or reduce cost to outbound operations
* Review day-to-day operations and analyse operational reports to ensure that the PUD & linehaul vehicles are utilised in a cost-effective manner
* Work with all supervisors to ensure they understand budget and service targets and are meeting requirements.
* Manage and review Event Reporting data and initiate corrective actions
* Ensure all toolbox/ training records are maintained to evidence team member knowledge of tasks required to be performed.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in a people management position
* Previous experience in the transport and Logistics industry essential
* Strong commercial acumen and budget management skills
* Excellence in team leadership and stakeholder management
* Deep understanding of Australian transport regulations
