About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Disability Support Workers to support people with disability in their homes and local community.
Shifts are available on weekdays and weekends during day shifts with consistent hours available for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person centred participant led disability supports
* Assist with daily living activities including personal care such as showering toileting grooming and dressing
* Support participants with mobility transfers and safe manual handling
* Assist with community access and social participation
* Support participants to build independence confidence and life skills
* Follow individual support plans and organisational policies
* Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation
* Build respectful professional relationships with participants and their support networks
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain the following
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check
* National Police Check
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Current Australian driver's licence
* Own reliable vehicle with comprehensive vehicle insurance
Experience and Skills
* Previous disability support experience is highly regarded
* Applicants with lived experience of disability are strongly encouraged to apply
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliability professionalism and a genuine commitment to quality support
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
