Project Overview:
The Project includes designing, procuring, installing, and commissioning bucket-wheel reclaimers. The associated structural, mechanical, electrical, and communications services are also included.
The Project involves designing and constructing associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works, and electrical upgrades. This will support the safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary:
You will be assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory capacity within an EPCM team. Your responsibilities will include supervising and directing operations within assigned disciplines or areas.
You will supervise works contractor activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules. You will work on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Monitor subcontractor construction schedules and resource charts.
2. Review subcontractor construction methods and schedules.
3. Coordinate construction operations impact on external interfaces.
4. Enforce policies and procedures as established by field construction management.
5. Support Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
1. A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.
2. 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
2. Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Incident Performance Philosophy.
3. Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
4. Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
5. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
