Social Worker – PECC Team
An exciting opportunity for an autonomous and highly motivated Social Worker to join our PECC team, working alongside specialist clinicians in a fast‐paced environment to deliver timely, person‐centred psychosocial interventions.

Responsibilities
* Provide a high quality Social Work service to consumers, carers and families to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
Qualifications and Experience
* Academic: Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
* Experience: Previous experience working with consumers with a mental illness and an understanding of the implementation of the Mental Health Act.
* Independent & Collaborative: Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi‐disciplinary team and interagency networks.
* Communication: Demonstrated well‐developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Professional Development: Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
* Assessment & Management: Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, counselling, crisis management, case management, advocacy, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
* Workload Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
* Computer Literacy: Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
