As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing animal health care services at a leading zoological institution.
About the Role
This position involves delivering day-to-day veterinary care to a diverse range of zoo and wildlife species.
* Providing medical care, surgery, disease investigation, and anesthesia as required.
You will work closely with animal husbandry staff and other veterinarians to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering preventative medicine and biosecurity measures to maintain a healthy animal population.
* Contributing to breeding programs, wildlife health care, and animal wellbeing assessments.
* Supporting the teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate veterinary students.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Be licensed or eligible to practice veterinary medicine in Western Australia.
* Have experience working with a wide range of zoo and wildlife species in a similar environment.
* Demonstrate strong communication and time management skills.
* Show adaptability and a willingness to learn and respond to changing circumstances.
