In this role, you'll:
As the Senior Stores and Facilities Officer operational support for Major Works within our Engineering & Maintenance Branch, your duties will also involve environmental, quality and risk management support to enable the business to meet operational requirements, mitigate risk and promote compliance with regulatory standards for minor plant and equipment compliance.
You will be responsible for; -
* Ensuring effective management of material resources as required by the depot and the satellite depot
* The compliance registers for all logistics and movement of all plant materials
* Procurement and Inspection of all equipment
* Managing contractors onsite ensuring they are inducted, and pre-work brief are complete
* Facilities management of depot including local services contract management
* Collaborate with the business to implement systems and processes that support the business to meet its performance targets in safety, environment, quality, and risk.
* Identifying ways to continuously improve plant, materials and inventory management and procurement, in line with the NSW Public Sector and Sydney Trains framework
* Provide reports, participate in and provide input into Sydney Trains Management Systems and processes, as required

About you
The successful candidate will be proactive and self-driven, with excellent planning and time management skills to manage different stakeholders. You thrive in a complex operational environment where attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Resourceful and flexible in your approach to problem solving, you are a highly collaborative worker with excellent communication (written and oral) and the ability to consult, liaise and share information with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels within the organisation.
You also need to be confident and capable with sourcing information and material for a broad range of stakeholders. The accountability of this role will have a direct impact on the safe delivery of Major Works projects within Sydney Trains.
