**Job Description**:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our global finance team as a Group Financial Reporting Manager (GFRM). This is a new role in our business and an important part of the finance leadership group. Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership for the consolidation and reporting of Group results for management and statutory purposes, including half year and full year external reporting.
Key components of the role include working across all areas of the finance function.
**What you will do**:
- Financial Accounting including overall responsibility for the preparation and on time delivery of the consolidated annual report & half year report
- Liaison with external auditors for half year and full year reporting
- Supervision of financial accounting team to ensure timely and accurate compilation of month end reports (including board reports)
- Analysis and reporting on variances to budget and forecast including value add commentary
- Compliance with IFRS/AASB and ASX requirements
- Ensure accounting policies and procedures are robust and implement changes as appropriate to improve efficiency.
- Proactive communication and engagement with operating business units
- Supporting the group in delivering insight, strategic initiatives and value add analysis
- Preparation of accounting papers on technical matters
- Work with the CFO to ensure effective management and development of all finance/accounting team members
- Share day to day finance and accounting operations responsibilities with the other Finance Managers in the team
- Work on projects as required (there is always a project or five being worked on, alongside the day to day tasks!)
- Assisting the other Finance Managers/Accountants with their career development and technical & non technical training including, Accounting, Treasury & Reporting, Budgeting and Analysis work.
**Qualifications**:
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Advanced Excel/Google sheets skills
- Management of a financial function incorporating accounting, budgeting, control, reporting and audit
- Experience of 10+ years gained working in an accounting department or accounting practice
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements for ASX companies or other similar reporting entities
- Experience with managing Australian taxation requirements
- Experience with managing audits conducted by external auditors
- Experience with accounting & CRM software (Knowledge of Xero & Salesforce beneficial).
- Attention to detail, multi tasking and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in an ever changing environment
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with diverse community groups and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
