Reporting to the Executive Manager - Operations & Finance you'll be a key player in the day-to-day operations of the Operations and Finance team at the Centre. From processing invoices and reconciling statements to liaising with suppliers and supporting month-end reporting. This role offers variety, responsibility, and plenty of opportunity to show what you can do.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role
* End-to-end accounts payable processing
* Reviewing and approving all accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
* Resolving any vendor inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner
* Coding, batching, and preparing invoices for payment
* Reconciliations: vendor accounts, creditor statements, and bank accounts
* Managing payment runs
* Handling credit card expenses and staff reimbursements
* Provide ATO reports for preparation of BAS, IAS, Annual Payroll Summaries and FBT returns
* Assisting with month-end reporting and year-end close
* Supporting continuous process improvement and admin tasks
Key selection criteria
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the following criteria:
Essential
* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping roles.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Business Central).
* Knowledge of general ledger accounting and payables management.
* Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
* Experience in the community services or not-for-profit sector.
* Familiarity with grant-related financial processes and reporting
* Understanding of GST and Australian financial compliance standards.
Qualifications And Requirements
* A relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance or other relevant qualification
