Job Title: Support Worker
This role is focused on providing support to diverse clients in their homes and community. The primary goal of this position is to enhance the quality of life for these individuals by offering domestic assistance, social support, respite care, transport, meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Domestic Assistance: Provide daily living assistance to clients, including laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping.
* Social Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them maintain a sense of independence and dignity.
* Respite Care: Provide temporary relief to family members and caregivers, allowing them to take a break and recharge.
* Transport: Safely transport clients to appointments, social events, and other destinations.
* Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy meals and snacks for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
* Medication Administration: Assist clients with taking their prescribed medications, ensuring they are taken at the correct time and dosage.
* Personal Care: Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable)
* Current and valid Driver's Licence
* Comprehensively insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
* Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
* Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
