We are currently seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to join our Mackay team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician looking to further develop their expertise in asset management and technical support within a world-class OEM environment.
About the Role
As a Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for delivering high-level technical support and ensuring optimal fleet performance across customer operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, fault-find, repair and service drill equipment across customer sites
* Provide advanced technical support and on-site training to customers
* Conduct root cause analysis and develop defect elimination programs
* Collaborate with customer maintenance planning teams to develop forecasts, task lists and maintenance instructions
* Facilitate and complete product upgrades as required
* Develop, implement and update Preventative Maintenance Plans
* Implement component life extension strategies
* Partner with Epiroc Engineering and customer teams to improve equipment availability and reliability
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operating costs
* Ensure compliance with Epiroc and customer SHEQ requirements
* Build strong, long-term customer relationships
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven product knowledge and experience with Atlas Copco / Epiroc surface and underground drills (underground experience highly regarded)
* Heavy Mobile Equipment trade qualification (or equivalent)
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
* Ability to work under pressure in dynamic site environments
* Strong reporting and computer literacy skills
