Together”, our team is committed to excellence across breeding, training, and racing. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Horse Trainer to join our dynamic team. This role will play a key part in the training, conditioning, and development of young thoroughbreds, contributing to their progression from early handling through to race readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Train and develop foals and yearlings, focusing on handling, education, and early preparation for racing careers
* Implement structured training programs, progressing horses through foundational to advanced stages
* Oversee feeding and nutrition programs to support growth, health, and performance
* Monitor horse health and behaviour, coordinating veterinary care and maintaining accurate records
* Manage and correct behavioural issues using effective, welfare-focused training techniques
* Supervise daily horse care, ensuring animals are well-handled, calm, and responsive
* Collaborate with veterinarians, farriers, and team members to support horse development
* Maintain clear communication with management and stakeholders on horse progress
* Ensure facilities, equipment, and work practices meet safety and industry standards
* Track and evaluate training progress, adjusting programs to maximise each horse’s potential
About You:
* Proven experience as a Horse Trainer within the thoroughbred racing industry
* Strong understanding of equine physiology, conditioning, and race preparation
* Excellent horsemanship and handling skills
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Relevant industry qualifications (preferred but not essential)
* Passion for elite performance and horse welfare
