As a Laser Clinical Educator (internally known as a Clinic Assistant), you will coach and empower student practitioners through practical clinical education within our on‐campus clinic.
This role focuses on guiding students from academic knowledge to safe, competent clinical practice using laser technologies, supporting them to complete the required hours for Queensland Radiation Health Laser Licensing.
Working closely with supervisors and clinic staff, you will play a key role in developing students' clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and professional capability in a real‐world environment.
Principal accountabilities (but not limited to):
* Coach and guide students through clinical reasoning, case analysis, and treatment planning
* Support the transition from theory to hands‐on clinical application in laser treatments
* Deliver and support laser clinic sessions (approx. 6–7 students per session)
* Provide prompting, feedback, and direction to build independent critical thinking
* Ensure students operate within safety, compliance, and clinical protocols
* Work closely with supervisors, providing insights into student progress and development
* Support clinic operations to ensure smooth day‐to‐day delivery
* Oversee student involvement in administrative and clinic support tasks where required
* Complete and maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
* Set a professional standard and support a positive learning environment
Who you are:
You are an experienced laser clinician with a passion for your field and an interest in developing others.
You bring:
* Queensland Radiation Health Laser Licence (must have)
* IPL and laser qualifications
* 2–5+ years of clinical experience in practice
* Strong clinical reasoning and case analysis skills
* Deep understanding of laser treatments and technologies
* Ability to coach, guide and support developing practitioners
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
* Experience in high‐standard clinical environments (dermatology, cosmetic, specialist clinics)
