The role also requires contributing to strategic goals, assisting with sustainability campaigns, maintaining accurate environmental data, and engaging with Indigenous stakeholders for culturally informed land stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting environmental inspections and audits, managing compliance reporting, and supporting carbon accounting activities
* Contributing to land management and ecological monitoring programs
* Assisting with sustainability campaigns and maintaining accurate environmental data
* Engaging with Indigenous stakeholders for culturally informed land stewardship
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related discipline. A sound understanding of environmental legislation, sustainability principles, and land management practices is essential. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also required, along with the ability to manage environmental data accurately using systems such as Microsoft Excel, GIS, and SharePoint. The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental auditing or compliance monitoring, as well as the ability to work independently across multiple sites. Additionally, a current NT driver's licence and eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card are necessary requirements.
