Award/Classification: Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement, Allied Health Professional, Level 4Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum Employment type: Full Time Region: NorthThe Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Clinical Lead (528420d) vacancy. The North H2HK Tas Service will be operationally and clinically managed by CAMHS North. It is being established in partnership with the Department of Education, Children and Young people, CFLCs, Professional Support Services, Child and Family Services, and will work closely with other government, non-government, and primary care programs and services.Our aim:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to establish and lead the Head to Health Kids Tas Service multidisciplinary team in Northern Tasmania. The senior clinician will have a passion for working collaboratively with existing child and family services to deliver evidence-based early interventions. The Clinical Lead will establish and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver secondary level mental health assessment and intervention for infants, children, and their families and caregivers, experiencing emerging complexity regarding emotional, social, relational, and behavioural functioning.The role will:Coordinate and plan the establishment of a regional H2HK Service.Oversee place-based operation of the North H2HK Tas Service, operationally supported as part of the regional CAMHS.Facilitate extensive cross-agency and cross-sector engagement, co-planning, and continuing service coordination and integration.Cover the delivery of a range of specialist and coordinated early interventions, in close partnership with the CFLC service setting, School Professional Support Services and other relevant services.Provide clinical leadership to a H2HK multidisciplinary team.What you will be creating:The National H2HK initiative is being rolled out in Tasmania with three locations to be established in each region (South, North West, North) in partnership with existing CFLCs, DECYP Professional School Support Services and other relevant services. H2HK Tas will be an integrated secondary level mental health service for emerging complexity for the 0-12 year age group, and will represent an important addition to a child and family mental health stepped care model in Tasmania.Details of Appointment:Fixed term full time day worker position (with on call) working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026. notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.Current Working with Children Registration.Desirable Criteria:A minimum of 3 years current post-graduate experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or relevant field.Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).Current Driver's Licence.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment.
