Functions Manager | Northern Grounds, Sunshine Coast
Northern Grounds is a brand new venue designed to host a wide range of events. We're looking for an Operational Functions Manager to take the reins and deliver successful events from start to finish, from handover through to bump out. Northern Grounds (Formally The Waterfront) is more than just a bar; it's a celebration of the Australian outdoors with a vibe that's humble, warm, and welcoming to everyone.
Responsibilities
* Design exciting function packages with a focus on guest experience and stakeholder relationships
* Oversee the full operational delivery of functions and events
* Lead and support teams to ensure smooth service and set-up
* Manage timelines, logistics, suppliers, and on-the-day operations
* Collaborate with the wider venue team to bring events to life
* Complete sales calls and secure bookings with quick, efficient quotes and seamless supplier connections
* Develop and execute promotional strategies to keep bookings thriving
About You / Qualifications
* Strong operational experience in functions, events, or hospitality
* Collaborative spirit with the ability to share passion and enthusiasm with your team and stakeholders
* Leadership skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
* Passion for creating standout guest experiences
* Strategic planning to reach targets, develop your team, and manage multiple priorities
* Current RSA and RSG/RCG industry certifications
