Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist – Cooma Correctional Centre
Lead change in rehabilitation and advance your psychology career in a senior clinical role. Location: Cooma Correctional Centre.

Salary
* Senior Psychologist — $127,771 to $135,527 per annum
* Senior Specialist Psychologist — $146,281 to $154,889 per annum
* Plus environmental allowance, superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
As a Senior Psychologist, you will:
* Lead and supervise a team of psychologists in delivering high-quality services to offenders
* Provide expert clinical advice on complex and high-risk cases, including violent and sexual offenders
* Deliver direct psychological interventions and manage complex case presentations
* Provide regular individual and group supervision to psychologists and interns
* Oversee the professional development and training of your team
* Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in OIMS and relevant systems
* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure coordinated psychological service delivery
If applying as a Senior Specialist Psychologist, you will also:
* Manage the most complex cases and provide high-level consultation across the Centre
* Drive research and service improvement initiatives
* Contribute to clinical governance and innovation in psychological practice
What We're Looking For
We want to hear from you if you have:
* Proven expertise in forensic, correctional, or clinical psychology
* Strong knowledge of contemporary correctional principles and risk assessment frameworks
* Experience delivering psychological interventions for mental health, cognitive impairment, and behavioural needs
* Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and supervisory capabilities
* Sound understanding of ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities in correctional psychology
Essential Requirements
* Minimum four-year accredited qualification in Psychology
* Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Eligible to supervise provisional psychologists and students
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across NSW
Senior Specialist Grade Applicants
Applicants must demonstrate the additional characteristics as defined in the Crown Employees Psychologist Award.
