Job Description
EC Care Pty. Ltd. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.
The successful candidate will assist clients in achieving greater independence, enhancing their quality of life, and participating actively in their community. Task & responsibilities Assists clients with daily hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
Help clients with movement and transportation including using mobility aids and ensuring safe mobility around their home or community. Prepare and serve meals according to the client's dietary needs and assist with feeding if needed. Administer prescribed medications or remind clients to take their medications as scheduled.
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry and organizing to maintain a safe and clean living environment Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to supervisor or healthcare professionals. Accompany clients to medical appointments shopping trips or social outings. Work collaboratively with our team, other health professionals, and support coordinators.
Uphold participant rights, privacy, and choice at all times. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes. Qualification & experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a disability support worker.
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification. Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
National Police Check and Working With Children Check (if required by the state).
Manual handling and mobility assistance training.
