To continue to deliver for our community, we are seeking a Project Support Officer to assist in the implementation of initiatives and projects as part of the Community Development Unit’s Health and Wellbeing strategy under the Municipal Public Health & Wellbeing Plan.
This role will provide you the opportunity to:
* Provide project support in community projects and engagement activities with community members across the municipality to ensure Community Development Unit’s Health & Wellbeing initiatives are responsive to community needs, the departments strategic objectives, and address priorities and outcomes under the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
* Facilitate community involvement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects, including building the capacity of community members and groups to support long-term sustainability, and assessment of the impact and benefit to the community to inform future projects, planning and resource allocation.
* Oversee the successful delivery of externally funded projects, including progress reporting throughout project delivery and successful acquittal of funding.
* Support the evaluation of programs and services, by collecting, analysing, and reporting qualitative and quantitative data to measure outcomes and inform continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, databases, reporting, and records to ensure transparency, compliance and effective knowledge sharing across the team.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in the development and implementation of community engagement initiatives and Community Development projects.
* Experience and capability in supporting community members and key stakeholders in the planning, implementation and evaluation of group projects or events.
* Ability to influence, negotiate and work with all levels of an organisation, developing and maintaining relationships to partner effectively for the benefit of community.
* Well-developed communication skills including persuasive oral and written skills.
* Knowledge of community needs and existing community and stakeholder relationships within the municipality.
* Experience in the delivery of externally funded projects.
* Ability to analyse community needs and adapt to diverse and changing role requirements.
