Payroll Officer Position
This salary rate includes mandatory 25% casual loading.
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team, responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and ensuring compliance with Australian regulations. Key responsibilities include accurately calculating and processing employee wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions in compliance with Australian tax and superannuation regulations.
Responsibilities also include staying up to date with Fair Work regulations, award rates, tax obligations (PAYG), and superannuation laws to ensure accurate payroll processing. Additionally, maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including timesheets, leave balances, and salary adjustments, and assisting employees with payroll-related questions.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or a related field, experience using Xero, MYOB, SAP, or similar payroll systems, and a strong understanding of Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, PAYG tax, superannuation, and Single Touch Payroll (STP). Strong numerical, analytical, and time management skills are essential for this role.
