From project delivery and commissioning through to operational excellence, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering and running a state-of-the-art automated distribution centre in Western Sydney.
Your new role
This role is focused on hands-on commissioning support for automation equipment including conveyors, palletising and depalletising systems, and portal robot cells. You will be involved from device-level setup through to system integration and acceptance testing, working in Western Sydney.
Reporting to the project and engineering teams, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting automation projects within intralogistics environments
* Commissioning discrete automation devices, including conveyors and material handling equipment
* Adjusting sensors and mechanical systems during commissioning
* Performing stand-alone commissioning of conveyors and automation devices
* Verifying, debugging, and improving device-level functionality
* Assisting with system integration testing and acceptance testing
* Providing system support during production ramp-up
* Delivering operator support and training on commissioned systems
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability and the ability to work independently on site. With the following qualifications and experience:
* Technical degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) in Automation or a related discipline
* Occupational Safety Card
* AS/NZS 3000 electrical licence
* Hands-on experience using Siemens TIA Portal V20 (Multi-User Engineering)
* Proven experience commissioning discrete automation systems
* Experience with drives and motion control
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
* Ability to work independently and solve technical problems on site
* Bosch Rexroth ctrlX Works (servo drive systems)
* SEW-EURODRIVE MoviSuite (VFDs)
