About the Service
Wyla Residential Services provides a safe and supportive environment for people to withdraw from alcohol and/or other drugs and offers a live-in rehabilitation service for those who have completed a detox program. You’ll also support our nearby Elouera Residential facility, working closely with both teams.
Your Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and capable Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team and make a real impact. As the sole nurse on site, you’ll play a key role in supporting residents with complex health needs, coordinating medical care, and contributing to a therapeutic, recovery-focused environment.
This is a casual position, offering an hourly rate between $45.96 and $53.582 (depending on experience), plus superannuation, salary packaging benefits, and casual loading.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting intake and transition of clients from acute settings to residential care
- Conducting holistic health assessments and developing treatment plans
- Managing medications and coordinating health-related appointments
- Liaising with internal and external health providers
- Delivering health-related psycho-educational groups
- Monitoring residents’ physical health and responding to day-to-day presentations
- Participating in case management and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Supporting a safe, culturally appropriate residential setting
What You’ll Bring
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Experience working with people with AOD and/or mental health concerns
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A commitment to client-centred, evidence-informed care
