**About The Role**
A Federal Government Agency is on the lookout for an Associate Cyber Security Analyst for a 12 month contract. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure working with other cyber security gurus.
**Duties**
- Conducting research into technologies, exploits, security posts and information potentially damaging or dangerous to the organizations reputation or services.
- Provide agency-wide advice to support the enhancement of security operations and practices in accordance with the protective security policy framework, Information Security Manual and Australian Signals Directorate's (ASD) Essential Eight strategies to mitigate Cyber incidents.
- Take proactive steps to assist with implementing cyber security work packages to produce an environment that supports the secure and effective delivery of projects.
- Contribute to providing advice on and actioning Cyber Security incident investigations and requests.
- Assist the cyber security team as needed
**Ideal Skills & Experience**
- Demonstrated capability of in managing client interactions and expectations in a service context.
- Knowledge and practical use of the Information security manual, protective security policy framework and essential eight.
- Solid understanding of cyber security incident response process and plans.
