About the role
We have a great opportunity for two experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to become the L2 Floor Coordinator Part-time 61hrs a fortnight 4 days per week. You must have Anaesthetics or Scrub/ Scout and Recovery experience. This is a shared role.
Duties and responsibilities
This role provides support to Hospital Management and leads the surgical team through leadership, mentoring and clinical governance to ensure effective operation of the hospital.
* Deliver hospital outcomes in clinical aspects, quality improvement, administration and leadership
* Manage labour and consumable costs
* Coordinate patient flow through the hospital
* Support nursing team to deliver safe, evidence based patient care
* Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
* Ensure nursing students are supported in theatre / procedure rooms
About You
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
* Solid experience in Perioperative nursing with Anaesthetics or Scrub/ Scout and Recovery experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
* Current AHPRA registration
* Experience with Quality Improvement activities, Infection Control Management and Accreditation processes
