Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable

Pay: $39.61 per hour + super

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional looking to make a meaningful contribution within a values-driven and community-focused organisation? We are seeking a Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable to join a busy Finance team on a temporary full-time assignment.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys stakeholder engagement, and has strong reconciliation and systems skills.
About the Role In this role, you will support the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring the accurate processing, reconciliation and maintenance of debtor information. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing high-quality support while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the integrity of the Accounts Receivable data within TechOne.
* Raise debtor invoices and journals in a timely and accurate manner.
* Reconcile debtor control accounts and prepare monthly reports.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve debtor queries.
* Follow up outstanding and overdue invoices.
* Undertake general accounting tasks including journals and reconciliations.
* Review and improve AR processes and documentation.
* Run ageing analysis reports and support the Finance team with reporting.
About You You will be someone who brings strong customer service, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to your work. You’ll have the confidence to manage competing deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism.
Key Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable.
* Experience in a corporate or government accounting environment (highly regarded).
* Strong ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with ledger codes and internal control procedures.
* Proficiency with computerised finance systems (TechOne desirable).
* Strong MS Office and keyboard skills.
* Qualification in Accounting, Business or Finance (preferred).
* National Police Check required.
