About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a PDHPE Teacher to become a valuable addition to the team at St Johns College Dubbo. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the PDHPE curriculum while creating a nurturing and orderly learning environment for their students.
We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
* Creating a learner-centred supportive and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies
* Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assessing and reporting student progress
* Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapting practices for equitable education
* Analyzing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encouraging improvement
* Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes
* Collaborating with school leadership staff and contributing to school life
* Providing student supervision and assisting in organising extracurricular activities
About You
We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and current NESA accreditation.
* A commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools.
* Ability to integrate technology effectively to maximise student outcomes and engagement.
* Ability to work and teach as part of a professional learning team.
* Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence through the development of a positive supportive student environment and related structures.
