Support Worker Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes positive family relationships and community connections.
You will work closely with the Support Manager or Service Leader to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in our care. Your commitment to trauma-informed care and ability to provide emotional support will be essential in helping these individuals overcome their challenges.
* Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment
* Promote positive family relationships and community connections
* Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent
* Mandatory Top-Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules)
* Valid Australian full driver's license
* Valid Australian working rights
* Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
