The Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Draftsperson to join their growing team.
Reporting to the Design/Drafting Manager, you will prepare accurate construction documentation for residential homes, ensuring compliance with Australian standards, NCC requirements, and internal specifications. This role plays a key part in translating approved designs into detailed, build-ready documentation to support smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed construction drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential homes
* Produce working drawings suitable for building approval, costing, and construction
* Coordinate and integrate consultant information (engineering, energy efficiency, siting, council requirements)
* Ensure drawings comply with NCC, Australian Standards, council guidelines, and estate covenants
* Apply standard details, specifications, and drafting protocols
* Manage drawing revisions efficiently and accurately
* Liaise with internal stakeholders including construction, estimating, sales, and approvals teams
* Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and processes
About You
* Proven experience as a Production Draftsperson in residential construction
* Strong knowledge of Australian residential building codes and standards
* Proficient in Revit (essential) and/or AutoCAD
* High attention to detail and strong understanding of buildability
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or qualification in Building Design, Drafting, or related field
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential production drafting (project or volume housing preferred)
* Experience working with engineers, certifiers, and council approval processes
