Clinical Nurse Specialist - Palliative Care

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide safe, compassionate, quality, patient centred care to our patients and visitors after hours. They will work collaboratively and support the Duty Nurse Manager and the clinical departments in the operational management to achieve quality outcomes.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced nurse to lead and support our dynamic team as a Clinical Nurse role. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Palliative Care) provides expert, evidence-based nursing care focused on optimizing comfort and quality of life for patients facing life-limiting illnesses through advanced symptom management and holistic support. Serving as a clinical leader and mentor, this role guides the multidisciplinary team, champions best practices in end-of-life care, and provides compassionate, complex navigation for families during profound transitions.
* Relevant registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* Minimum of five years post registration experience in acute care setting.
* Working with Children Check
* Proven ability to work effectively in team environment and independently as required
* Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and manage patient flow and bed allocation.
* Proven ability to prioritise daily workload according to organisational need
* Ability to perform under pressure
* Possession of or significant progression towards the attainment of a post graduate qualification in an area of specialty.
* Recent experience working in critical care environment.
