Transportation Support Specialist
About the Role:
The Transportation Support Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of rail services. This role involves assisting with the on-time running of scheduled trains, handling Green Star parcels, and maintaining a safe and clean environment at the station.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the daily operation of the station, including ensuring the provision of best possible train and coach services to passengers
* Handle Green Star parcels, inwards, outwards, and manage the daily cash balance
* Build positive relationships with internal and external customers, and provide support for customers using desktop IT applications
* Contribute to the overall presentation and cleaning of the station
* Oversee and ensure the safe operation of the coach interchange
* Provide assistance to passengers and handle lost property
* Regularly inspect the station to ensure standards are being maintained
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing environments. Previous experience in a customer service and operational environment is essential.
