Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales and market expansion efforts for rooftop solar solutions across the Sydney region. This role is focused on generating new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth by promoting our client's rooftop solar and renewable energy offerings to commercial and industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to meet sales and revenue targets for rooftop solar solutions.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within commercial and industrial sectors.
Lead end-to-end sales activities including prospecting, proposal development, pitching, negotiation, and contract closure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the benefits of rooftop solar, ROI models, funding options, and renewable energy strategies.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular forecasts and performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience (typically 3–7+ years) in business development or sales, ideally within the solar, energy, or sustainability sectors.
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing commercial solar deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
