About Our Client
Our client is a large Australian private group operating across several major sectors, including mining, energy, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
Job Description
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including providing technical accounting advice to all areas of the Group as required.
Assist with coordination of external audit processes alongside the Finance team and external stakeholders.
Prepare accurate and timely month end, covering intercompany processes, journals, and robust reconciliations.
Develop and document relevant processes and procedures.
Apply knowledge and core accounting concepts to develop insights to assist in business growth and/or cost saving.
Review and manage compliance, regulatory requirements, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across all areas of the Group.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Corporate Accountant Should Have
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or CA.
Experience working in a Big 4 or Mid Tier accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach to improving processes and systems.
