Job Opportunity: Fixed Asset Accountant
This role offers the chance to take ownership of fixed asset management, drive process improvement and efficiency across the finance function, and support the wider finance team in achieving their operational goals and targets.
The ideal candidate will be a consummate professional with experience in fixed asset register management, accounting practices, principles (AASB and/or IFRS), and stakeholder management. They will have exceptional communication skills, written, verbal, and face-to-face, and be comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain fixed asset registers
* Prepare and execute end-of-month reporting and activities relating to the fixed assets register
* Review work-in-progress and ensure accurate capitalisation
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities for process improvement and system efficiencies
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to support asset governance
* Provide education and training to non-asset team members on policy and procedure adherence
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar
* High level experience with fixed asset register management
* Highly developed commercial and business acumen
* Exceptional communication skills
* High-level stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
* Solid experience and understanding of accounting practices and principles
