About the role
The Remuneration Officer is a valued member of the broader Finance team, playing an important role in ensuring Barwon Water meets its Enterprise Agreement, statutory and legislative obligations. This work underpins our commitment to strong governance and supports our Strategy 2030 ambition of delivering regional prosperity.
You’ll support the scheduled payroll processing for the Barwon Water Group, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time through our fortnightly payroll cycle. You’ll also ensure all statutory obligations are met, contributing to payroll outcomes that are reliable, consistent and trusted across the organisation.
With a strong focus on relationships and service, you’ll provide clear, considerate and timely advice to employees regarding remuneration conditions and entitlements. You’ll work closely with colleagues to respond to enquiries, collaborate and support a payroll experience that is approachable and people-centred.

About you
You’re a thoughtful problem solver with a strong technical understanding of payroll and demonstrated experience working in remuneration services. You take pride in accuracy and consistency, and your considered approach helps build confidence and trust with stakeholders.
Curious and improvement-minded, you naturally look for better ways of working and are comfortable investigating systems and processes to support efficiency and effectiveness. You’re well organised, self-motivated and thrive in environments where attention to detail really matters.
Your experience working with payroll systems and navigating multiple Enterprise Agreements may be supported by relevant qualifications or professional learning and allow you to contribute confidently within this key role.
