The business is known for delivering high-quality meats, exceptional customer service, and maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Butcher to join their team. Key Responsibilities Prepare meat for sale by deboning, trimming fat, cutting, mincing, and portioning to required specifications or customer orders Produce value-added products including marinated, seasoned, crumbed meats and smallgoods Operate and maintain butchery equipment such as grinders, mixers, mincers, tenderisers, and sausage fillers Prepare and apply seasonings, marinades, and curing mixtures, and manage processes such as smoking and cooking where required Provide customer advice on meat selection and usage, and assist with basic production planning and cost estimation Requirements Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience as a butcher AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment Good understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
