As part of a world-class research group, you will collaborate with leading experts in computer science, AI, and information systems while contributing to high-impact publications in top venues such as ACM CHI and UIST. This role is ideal for an early to mid-career scholar looking to advance their research and leadership in the field.Your responsibilities will include:Build a significant research program in novel interactive systems, and related fields.Exercise leadership in scholarly research and build interdisciplinary research teams.Present research seminars and workshops within the School and in external forums (e.g., international conferences).Publish peer-reviewed scholarly papers in reputable international conferences and journals in HCI.Who We Are Looking ForThe successful candidate will be a collaborative and adaptable researcher with strong communication skills and a commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork, particularly in human-computer interaction, human-centred AI or fabrication. They will demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including industry and academia, while excelling in independent research, teaching, and mentoring within a dynamic and evolving environment.You will also have:A PhD in either Computer Science and Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (or equivalent);A relevant research track record as evidenced by research publications on the development of novel interactive systems or human-centred AI in top-ranked journals, and conferences, commensurate with opportunity;Demonstrated ability to perform independent research;For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
