About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Supervisor with current HACCP accreditation. In this role, you will support the business in maintaining compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and transport legislation. Working closely with management and frontline teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our people, our fleet, and our operations meet regulatory and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain HACCP accreditation, ensuring all processes meet food safety requirements.
* Oversee compliance with all relevant legislation, including NHVR, NHVAS, HVNL, WHS, and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
* Work closely with supervisors to coach and performance manager our team of heavy vehicle drivers and loaders.
* Interact with customers to address delivery point issues/barriers and provide transparency.
* Deliver spot training at delivery points to support drivers and loaders.
* Manage fleet damage reporting and compliance in conjunction with the maintenance team.
* Support driver trainer by jumping in the truck to better understand the challenges faced on the road.
* Be flexible across days and shifts to engage with team members making critical safety decisions.
Skills & Experience
* HACCP accreditation (essential).
* Previous experience in safety, compliance, or quality assurance (transport/food logistics preferred).
* Knowledge of workplace safety legislation, NHVR/HVNL, and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage staff at all levels.
* High attention to detail, with strong organisational and reporting skills.
