The company: This is a rare opportunity for a Partner or Special Counsel who is close to Partner to take a lead role in this firm's established litigation practice. About the role: Working closely with a number of young Partners (including accredited specialists) who are regarded highly around town as being technically very good litigators but also as being genuinely nice people this role will see you: work closely with the Partners and take a key leadership role providing support to the Partners and mentoring and supervising the juniors in the Brisbane team; work for a range of ASX listed corporates, large SMEs as well as government clients; consistently engaged in high quality, superior court litigation you would expect in a large national law firm; and working in a genuine team environment, which is well resourced, uses the latest technology and has a consistent culture that promotes work/life balance and a happy workplace while also focussing on excellent outcomes for clients ensuring repeat work from those clients. Skills/Experience: To be considered for this role you will: ideally be at Partner level, be looking to wind your smaller practice into a bigger firm or will be a Special Counsel with a developing practice of your own; have strong technical experience across commercial litigation, insolvency or construction litigation or other complex, superior court litigation; have experience mentoring and supervising junior lawyers; and be a leader who is looking to step into a key role leading a Brisbane office.
