We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and experienced qualified accountant to join our finance team based in Brisbane as a key player in the next phase of the group's growth and development. This phase is expected to see significant upgrades to ERP and management reporting systems and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving this change and development.

Overview of key tasks and responsibilities
Monthly Management Reporting
* Deliver a reconciled trial balance across all key general ledger accounts including payroll, inventory and WIP, debtors, creditors, fixed assets and payroll related accounts.
* Prepare monthly reporting pack for review by the CFO.
* Assist with analysis and the development of supporting schedules for management reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting
* Support and provide hands‑on assistance in the preparation of cashflow projections and forecasting models, ensuring these tools reflect accurate and up‑to‑date financial data to support strategic decision‑making and long‑term planning.
* Play an active role in the completion of end‑of‑year processes including prepayments & accruals, tax entries, draft financial statements and year‑end file for auditors.
Key skills and experience
* Recognised Accounting Degree or minimum of 5 years in financial management experience.
* Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) (or other equivalent qualification).
* Ideally experienced in a manufacturing / heavy industry area with exposure to ERP and costing processes for a manufacturing business.
* Exceptional time management, personnel management and organisational skills.
* Sound knowledge of accounting and financial management systems.
* Sound knowledge of standard business tax accounting and business administration principles.
* Highly proficient in computer‑based accounting and job costing systems.
* Good verbal communication skills, ability to write clearly and concisely.
* High level of attention to detail.
