About the Role
As the
Accounts Receivable Officer
, you will play a key role in supporting the Credit Controller and broader finance function. You'll be responsible for end‑to‑end credit control activities, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and ensuring adherence to established credit policies.
This role would suit a detail‑oriented finance professional who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Review new customer credit applications and coordinate approval processes.
* Action customer alerts from NCI and CreditorWatch.
* Assist with PPSR registrations and compliance.
* Review credit limit increase applications and obtain required reports/recommendations.
* Post customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
* Investigate discrepancies and process settlement discount credit notes.
* Produce monthly customer statements.
* Ensure customers operate within approved credit limits.
* Maintain and update ERP customer master data.
* Liaise with Export Sales and Treasury teams regarding hedge positions.
* Request new NZD hedges as required and advise of roll‑forwards
* Assist with year‑end reconciliations, including write‑offs and doubtful debt reviews.
* Confirm intercompany balances.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in
Accounts Receivable
.
* Strong customer service focus and communication skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Strong time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability.
* Experience with
Microsoft Business Central
or similar ERP (highly regarded).
* A TAFE or equivalent qualification in accounting/AR (desirable).
