The role is based in Thomastown, Victoria reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer.
The opportunity is to architect, deploy and scale a data-led pricing framework that helps fuel the next horizon of sustainable growth, driving customer value within a market-leading organisation.
Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise-wide pricing strategy and operating model (processes, guardrails, governances) aligned to brand, channel and growth ambitions across Australia and New Zealand
Act as trusted pricing advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, providing evidence-based recommendations for planning, negotiations, and investment decisions
Drive automation, digitisation and AI-assisted pricing
Build commercial governance that strengthens discipline, reduces leakage, and aligns Sales, Category, and Finance
Champion value-based pricing, competitive benchmarking, elasticity modelling and customer deal economics
Drive strategic pricing initiatives that unlock new value pools and uplift profitability
Deploy, embed and scale new ways of working
Develop dashboards, forecasting tools and BI reporting that enhances visibility and accountability
Track price realisation, gross profit, promotional ROI and highlight improvement actions
Influence strategy, commercial outcomes and digital transformation including the ERP rollout across ANZ
Implement testing frameworks, change management and training programs to drive system adoption
Partner closely and uplift pricing capability with Sales, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Marketing to support pricing opportunities, tenders, range reviews and margin expansion
Equip sales teams with real-time tools, insights and guardrails to drive better customer outcomes
Partner with Tech to design pricing workflows in the ERP and related systems.
Shape the enterprise commercial data strategy and lead the analytics roadmap
Build capability across Sales, Category and Finance through training and coaching
About you:
You have led organisation-wide change in pricing, data transformation or commercial governance
You are excited about shaping pricing capability in a high-growth, market-leading organisation
You are energised by building capability from the ground up in a complex, multi-channel, multi-customer type environment
You have advanced analytical skills — able to synthesise complex data into narratives that influence behaviour and uplift commercial decision-making
You have strong commercial and financial acumen with deep experience in pricing and margin management
You are highly systems-oriented, comfortable with ERP, BI, pricing, AI and data platforms
Bachelor's degree in business, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline
A number of years' experience in pricing, commercial or analytical roles within Wholesale, Distribution and B2B environments
