Aurora is seeking a full-time Individual Support Trainer and Assessor based in Townsville. The role focuses on Individual Support, with the option to deliver Health and Community Services if this matches your skills and experience. Reporting to Training Management, you will manage a student case load using a variety of delivery models and will be responsible for achieving outstanding results with our clients and students.
The successful applicant will have:
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - TAE40116. Alternatively, you must be enrolled into a TAE40116 or TAE40122 and will be training under supervision until completion.
* Qualification(s) and certifications to train and assess in the specified area.
* Demonstrated current and relevant experience. Preferably the right candidate for this position will have at least 3 years industry experience including experience in:
* Working in an aged care or disability facilities and/or any other rehabilitation/support facility
* Experience in working with people with disabilities (mental health, dementia, ageing etc.)
* Experience in applying basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control in a proper facility
* Preferably hold a first aid qualification
* Operating Individual support equipment and providing support in diverse range of contexts (patients beds, hoist, changing continence aids, dressing and feeding patients etc.)
* A 'can do' positive approach to training
* A self-motivated, resilient, energetic and self-assured attitude
* Confidence in dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Knowledge or experience within the training industry
* Current Blue Card (required prior to appointment)
* Driver's license and own vehicle
You will be expected to:
* Directly manage a student case load
* Meet key performance measures relating to learner progress, engagement and course outcomes
* Maintain the highest levels of quality and ethics in everything you do
What Aurora Offers:
* Salary will be set in accordance with MA000075 – Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020 (rates effective 1 July 2025). The indicative Award salary range is Level 2 ($63,507.07) to Level 7 ($72,103.18) per annum (excluding super), with classification aligned to the successful candidate's skills and experience
* Vehicle allowance (where applicable) from $5,200 per annum
